Phoenix Clan Scripts
What is Phoenix Clan Scripts?
Phoenix Clan Scripts is an advanced clan management system designed for clans and gaming groups. This system represents the full power of customization from names to preferences to images to order or display. Almost everything is able to be customized to suit your needs as a leader!

But what can't be changed?
The main element that cannot be changed is that rank 0 should always be webmaster (This is hardcoded into many portions of the scripts for security reasons!)

OK! So what's so dynamic about the rest of the scripts?
  • Ranks (Except as fore mentioned) are fully changeable. From the text title (ie. Leader) to their individual Graphical Icons (ie. insignia)
  • Their display mode on the members page can be changed as well. They can simply display text, or display the image for the ranks (which can easily be uploaded into the images directories)
  • But ranks arent all that are used, PhoenixClan also boasts the use of rank groups (Primarily used for the members page)
This allows you to group ranks, for example your leadership ranks can be grouped, then generals, then officers and then enlisted etc. Each of these groups may also be given a group header image. if not provided, it will default to rank group text.
  • Consoles have always been a big part of clan scripts. Allowing users access to certain functions based on their ranks, but often having to temporarily or even permanently promoting a user to give them access (one time perhaps) to a certain console item.
This has been changed. Console options are put into groups. Each group and option access is determined separately. Each rank can be changed and given different access to different console modules, and groups, and then you can give each individual access to more options. This allows you to truely customize the experience of the consoles amongst members. This is one of the most powerful functions built into these scripts. Any new modules added by the user are automatically covered by the permissions control without adding extra parameters into the scripts themselves.
  • The console backend itself (as mentioned previously) is also changeable. You can add/remove/edit console modules two ways. Upon first release the database module system is disabled, as security issues exist and we are trying to minimise any kind of security risk that may exist. The primary way of creating your own modules is using the file system. All you need to do is create a new record via the webmaster console, assign the filename and upload the file itself. It really is easy!
  • PhoenixClan also has a settings manager. This means that you may have several sets of Core Settings installed, allowing you to toggle between them without having to actually change the settings of each. This makes it faster and easier to do. You may store as many settings records as you wish.
  • Security Is a big part of scripts today. That is why there is an entire console dedicated to security. The main function that is noticable is the Core Security Settings. In here you can manage the internal and external quick messages as well as the security level and recruiting status.
The Dashboard message displays a warning to all members to let them know if something is going on.
The Guest message displays on the front page to all visitors above the random image generator.
The Internal message displays only in the security console and can be used to leave a message for fellow admins/leaders to state why the settings are as they are and how long they should remain that way.
  • There are 3 forms of logs engineered into the system, all are referenced via function calls (See developer manual in the downloads package). Dashboard logs are those relating to the member, telling them when they were demoted, promoted and other activities involving them directly. the core logs are viewable by all members. These logs are usually built into all systems and are tied into almost all actions from recruiting a member to changing a password (passwords are NEVER displayed to anyone) The third type of log are admin logs, these relate to changes to root/core functions. These include security settings, function changes/additions/removals etc.
  • Links to resources are usually an important aspect to clans, built into these scripts are the basic links changeable via the system settings. These include a link to forums, X-Fire, MySpace, Facebook, Steam groups, which can all be shown or hidden.
  • Some more General configuration options include the clan's tag, whether it should be shown or not, which side of the name the tag is located, the clans actual name, the date the clan started and even the outgoing email address for new users or DSL updates.

Due to the requirements of these scripts, the release date is yet to be announced as each module needs to be tested extensively not only for security breeches but to ensure that all logging is occuring correctly. The templating system, although fully functional, still may need work to ensure that attempts to change the template do not cause any issues with functionality.

Please keep in mind the above information when enquiring into the future purchase of the scripts.
